Jason Fennelly

I graduated from Harbor High School in 1991, and enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. After honorably serving our Country, I was hired by Santa Cruz County as a Correctional Officer, and quickly promoted to Deputy Sheriff. While working as a Deputy Sheriff, I went back to school and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice Management and subsequently applied and was accepted into Law School. I earned a master’s degree in legal studies and my Juris Doctorate. I graduated from Law School in 2019 and passed the California Bar Exam. Between 2019 and March 2023, I worked as a full time Deputy Sheriff while practicing Family Law as an attorney. In March 2023 I retired from the Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s Office after 25 years of service. Presently, I am now working full-time in Santa Cruz County as a family law attorney with Jesse Ruben Law, PC.
